CLUB DIVISION

The MCBC Club Division is competitive but welcoming, designed for anglers of all skill levels — including youth anglers fishing with an adult partner.

Overview

The Club Division is a great fit for anglers who want a competitive environment without the pressure of the larger-money Trails Division. It’s open to all experience levels, from new anglers to seasoned veterans.

A youth waiver is available for any angler under 18 years of age who wishes to compete on a team with an adult angler, making the Club Division a perfect place for family teams and mentoring younger anglers.

Requirements to Compete

  • All required documents and waivers completed and signed
  • Annual MCBC/TBF Membership$100 per angler
  • A boat with a fully functional livewell
  • Valid boat insurance

Youth Anglers: Anglers under 18 must have a completed youth waiver and compete on a team with an adult angler.

Format & Entry Fees

  • Maximum field: 30 boats
  • Team entry fee per Club Event: $100
  • Payout: 100% of entry fees returned to the anglers through event payouts, Championship payouts, and A.O.Y. awards.
  • Division format: Multiple Club Events throughout the season plus a Two Day Club Division Championship.

Payout Structure

The Club Division uses a 100% payout structure with a built-in carryover to build a strong prize pool for the Two Day Club Division Championship.

Club Events

  • Each Club Event pays out 80% of that event’s entries.
  • The remaining 20% is carried over to the Two Day Club Division Championship.
  • Each event pays 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place and Big Bass.
  • Paid places and Big Bass also receive plaques.

Two Day Club Division Championship

Championship prize money includes:

  • All $100 paid entry fees for the Championship, plus
  • All 20% carryovers from each Club Event.

From this total prize pool, we deduct the A.O.Y. entry fees for the following season. The remaining total is split into three equal payout groups:

  • Day 1 Winners – 1st, 2nd, 3rd & Big Bass
  • Day 2 Winners – 1st, 2nd, 3rd & Big Bass
  • Overall Winners – 1st, 2nd, 3rd & Big Bass

A.O.Y. Points Race

The Angler of the Year (A.O.Y.) Points Race rewards consistency across all Club Events in a single season.

  • Points are awarded by finish position in the weigh-in at each Club Event.
  • 50-point system: 1st place = 50 pts, 2nd = 49 pts, 3rd = 48 pts, and so on.
  • The A.O.Y. race includes only the Club Events scheduled for that season (the Two Day Club Division Championship does not count toward A.O.Y. points).
  • The A.O.Y. winning team will have their entry fees paid for the next Club Division season.

Team Eligibility & Drops

  • Each team may have one (1) alternate for the season.
  • The alternate must fish at least one regular season Club Event to qualify for the Two Day Club Division Championship.
  • Open Events and Trails Events do not qualify a team for the Club Division Championship.
  • Each team may use up to two (2) Drops and still receive points for those events.
  • A third (3rd) Drop may be used, but the team must pay the $100 entry fee for that event in order to remain eligible for the Two Day Club Division Championship.
